What is the Pilgrims Café?
The Pilgrims Café is an online gathering, a cozy space where Pilgrims trainers meet up and hang out once a month to share ideas with you! The Café is meant to be informal, hospitable, warm environment: anyone can participate, and the goal is to make you feel like we’re face to face! (Just make sure to bring your own beverage…)
Short talks, activities, music, drama, whether you teach young learners or older students, whether you’ve been to Pilgrims or planning to come to Pilgrims, you are very welcome to attend: there will always be something for everyone! The Café is interactive, with plenty opportunities to mingle, discuss, argue, meet interesting people, touch base with old friends and Pilgrims alumni, learn something new, and, most importantly, have fun!
On January 23rd we will be hearing from:
Judit Feher on Creative Writing Tasks Online.
Tim Bowen will take us on a ride through the Fascinating World of Neologisms.
Marta Bujakoswka will tell us about The Teacher’s Well-being: start from within.
Mojca Belak wonders How well do we understand Naturese (the language of flowers, animals and trees)?
Stefania Ballotto will be showing us what she means byStudent-produced exam papers: the REAL thing!
Peter Dyer will tell us about the importance of Improvisation.
Gill Johnson will talk about Self-care first-aid for over-busy, tired teachers.
Attendance is FREE of charge, but you’ll need to register: get in touch email@example.com and we’ll send you a link to the event. The café will be hosted on Zoom.
