Audience: teachers, students, and a wider audience

Language of presentation: English

Briefly about the presentation: Assistive technology enables and promotes inclusion and participation, especially of persons with disability, ageing populations, and people with non-communicable diseases. The primary purpose of assistive products is to maintain or improve an individual’s functioning and independence, thereby promoting their well-being. They enable people to live healthy, productive, independent, and dignified lives, and to participate in education, the labor market and civic life.

The presentation is aimed at: 1) sharing views and professional experiences related to the establishment of assistive technology centers and learning support, modeled after those that exist in the USA and 2) promotion of modern approaches in the field of assistive systems intended for persons with disabilities in the educational system.
