20th ELTA Serbia Conference

The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade is kindly sponsoring grants to facilitate and encourage the participation of 25 Serbian teachers* and 10 teachers* from the regional partner associations by providing support to cover their travel expenses, accommodation, and meals.

The U.S. Embassy and ELTA Serbia also encourage submissions by ELT professionals, displaced by conflict and residing in or near Serbia.

ELTA provides a waiver of the registration fee.

The applicant for a Conference grant should be an English language teacher and thus should:

  • ​write a short motivational letter (up to 100 words) explaining why they want to take part in the Conference
  • submit a short narrative about the Conference and its impact on their teaching style for the ELTA Newsletter.

The Conference has been accredited by the Institute for Educational Advancement (16 CPD points).**

To apply, complete the Conference Grant Application Form by the due date. Post-deadline submissions will not be considered. The decisions will be emailed to successful applicants by 29 April 2022.

*This grant opportunity is open to non-registered participants and is not intended to support the conference speakers.

**One CPD point is equal to one hour of active learning. That means you get one point for every hour you spend on CPD activity, i.e. 8 CPD points per day, a total of 16 CPD points per two-day event.
