English language quizzes at Užička gimnazija are a cherished tradition, bringing students and teachers together to test their knowledge, creativity, and teamwork on various topics. From literature to movies, music, and special anniversaries, these events always promise engaging activities, delicious snacks, and exciting prizes from generous sponsors.
This year, the spotlight was on the 1970s, 80s, and 90s rock music. The idea came from three third-graders—Kasija Đorđević (III1), Lena Jokić (III5), and Ognjen Gvozdenović (III5)—who proposed the theme, and their enthusiasm quickly won everyone over.
The trio took the lead, organizing every detail of the event. They designed a vibrant poster, crafted engaging games, arranged snacks, and even secured a sponsor for one of the prizes. On December 4, 2024, their hard work culminated in a fun-filled quiz where they also served as quiz masters.
The event featured fourteen teams of three participants each, including two teams of teachers who couldn’t resist the challenge to see how much of their rock ’n’ roll spirit remained. With laughter, competition, and rock anthems echoing through the halls, it was an unforgettable celebration of music and camaraderie.
