This month’s newsletter focuses on our sister teacher Associations around the world.
The Townhall Meeting with our Associates, or ‘sister organisations’ as we prefer to call them, allowed us to discuss common issues and learn from each other and find ways in which we can offer a better service to our members. The Affiliate Network meeting was a golden opportunity to explore working and collaboration opportunities between and among TESOL and affiliate associations, sharing knowledge and information to advance the field of English language teaching. Both events also revealed how different we are not only as organisations, e.g. in size, reach, influence, but also in terms of the realities of our professional scenarios, e.g. the challenges and needs of teachers and learners, opportunities for professional development or support from government departments.
