“Small Town Stories” – a 4 week course supported by the American Embassy for EFL teachers who enjoy writing
This November ELTA is excited to offer a free creative writing course to 20 EFL teachers in the south and east of Serbia. “Small Town Stories” is a four week blended learning project designed to strengthen writing skills, ignite imaginations, and encourage new pedagogical approaches to language teaching. This structured course will progressively enhance teachers’ writing through thoughtful, constructive feedback by tutors and peers through online meetings and a residential weekend (place and time to be announced). Additionally, participants will engage in curriculum-building activities to create dynamic lesson plans inspired by course activities. Upon completion of the course members will have their original creative works published in book form and have the opportunity to take part in a public reading at the 2016 ELTA conference in Belgrade. Teachers will be awarded ELTA certificates upon successful completion of a 20-hour writing course.
Course tutors:
- Nathan William Meyer
- Olja Milosevic

The online component of the course will run November 2–29, 2015. The participants will be expected to take part in the residential weekend course that will be in December 2015.
