This April, Danijela Andrejić, an educator from Primary Schools “Vlada Aksentijević” and “Kraljica Marija” in Belgrade, had the honour of representing ELTA at an Erasmus+ training course as part of the Emotionally Healthy Classroom project (KA122-ADU-9C4C200B).
Held from April 12-18, 2025, in the beautiful coastal city of Split, Croatia, the course was organised by Maksima Training Centre, in partnership with Erasmus Courses Croatia Training Centre and Secondary Technical Traffic School. The training titled “Well-being Strategies for Teachers: Nurturing Mental Health by Relieving Stress, Fostering Resilience, and Practising Mindfulness” equipped educators with practical tools to cultivate personal resilience, manage stress effectively, and improve overall quality of life.
Blending traditional classroom learning with experiential outdoor activities, the course offered participants the chance to reconnect with themselves genuinely. It emphasised the importance of maintaining mental health, achieving work-life balance, and nurturing stronger interpersonal relationships—essential components for creating a healthy educational environment.
Danijela returns to Belgrade inspired and ready to apply these valuable strategies, supporting both her well-being and that of her colleagues and students.
