Vladana Ivanov from Ballet School Lujo Davico in Belgrade represented ELTA Serbia at the 46th TESOL Greece Annual International Convention, held on March 8-9, 2025, at Leonteios School in Athens. The inspiring theme, “Embracing Action in Practice”, set the stage for a memorable professional experience.
The event began warmly with opening remarks from Maria Halkiadaki, Chair of TESOL Greece, who highlighted International Women’s Day by celebrating women’s ongoing efforts toward equality and the importance of self-care for mental health.
The convention featured four renowned plenary speakers: Dr. Alastair K. Daniel, Maria Diakou, Prodromos Markopoulos, and Terry Small. Vladana found Dr. Daniel’s session particularly captivating. His lecture on storytelling as embodied language resonated deeply and brought great enthusiasm to all participants.
In addition to these thought-provoking plenaries, 59 presenters from around the world offered practical, hands-on sessions, providing fresh ideas and innovative teaching approaches beneficial to educators and students alike.
ELTA Serbia sincerely thanks Vladana for representing our community with dedication and enthusiasm. We look forward to more collaborative learning opportunities in the future!
