ELTA Seeks Qualified English Teachers!

usa

U.S. Embassy and English Language Teachers’ Association (ELTA Serbia) will provide English language instruction to 25 students, ages 13-15, from economically disadvantaged families in Belgrade. The program will target students who have excelled academically and have limited opportunities to study English.

This program will give the Access teachers the opportunity to be part of a committed and professional team. Teachers will learn and share best practices in English teaching and grow professionally. This experience will strengthen their opportunities to participate successfully in their community’s socio-economic development and also apply for future U.S. educational and exchange programs. In addition, the participants will become familiar with many aspects of U.S. culture and thus develop a deeper understanding of current issues in U.S. society.

The English Access Microscholarship Program is currently seeking qualified English Teachers to start classes on October 13, 2014.  Classes are Monday through Friday, 3 hours weekly for two years.

The English Access Microscholarship Program is also seeking qualified English Teachers for Intensive sessions which will take place in January 2015 (one week).

Provisional Conference Programme 2013

Dear ELTA members, dear colleagues and conference presenters and participants,

We are happy to announce that you may now download the provisional conference programme for our 11th annual ELTA conference to be held from 10th to 11th May in Belgrade.

This year we have over 40 presentations, lectures and workshops, and we hope the program will help you decide which ones you will attend.

Please note that early bird registration ends on 12th April.

For its 11th annual conference, ELTA has chosen a venue in which teachers have been studying for decades.

Faculty of Education, which is a part of the University of Belgrade, will welcome English teachers for the two days in May and we know it will be suitable and comfortable, with all the needs of teachers catered for.

The Main Hall and six other classrooms will be used for presentations and workshops, whereas the second floor gallery will provide the exhibition area for our partners and sponsors.

The staff lounge on the ground floor will double as a quiet room for presenters, and the faculty’s internet club will be open during the event so all the guests can use the computers there.

ELTA couldn’t organize the event without the assistance of many students of the faculty who will be volunteers at the conference.

We hope to see you there!

Your ELTA team
