Faculty of Education, Belgrade, May 10-11 2013

Dear members and colleagues,

ELTA Serbia is proud to announce the 11th Annual ELTA Serbia Conference – “He who dares to teach must never cease to learn”

You are invited to join us from 10th to 11th May 2013 at the Faculty of Education in Belgrade.

ELT is a complex, multifaceted activity which often requires teachers to juggle multiple tasks and goals knowledgeably and skillfully at the same time. In order to understand their practice better EFL teachers pursue different ways of professional development. Engaging in reflective practice, as an ongoing example of lifelong learning, aims to make teachers draw meaning from their practice, behaviours and methods inside the classroom with the intent to change for the better.

Having this in mind, ELTA Serbia 2013 Conference will focus on reflective teaching in the broadest sense of its meaning. Therefore, it is our pleasure to invite you to share your classroom experience with a wider community of teachers who settle for nothing less than excellence.

Sharing Conference Materials

Dear ELTA member/presenter,
Our conference was a great success and all the workshops and presentations made a difference in how we teach English.
Now we would like to share all the materials from the conference with wider audience. If you have presented at the conference, we would like to use your PowerPoint presentations, videos, handouts and other materials which you used in your presentation and post it all on SEETA website where English teachers from the whole region would be able to access it.
Also, if you have photos from the conference, we are currently preparing a picture gallery for our website and facebook page, and your pictures could become a part of it.
Please send all your materials to
Your ELTA team

Conference Venue

For its 10th annual conference, ELTA has chosen a venue in which teachers have been studying for decades. Teachers Training Faculty, which is a part of the University of Belgrade, will welcome English teachers for the two days in May and we know it will be suitable and comfortable, with all the needs of teachers catered for.
The Main Hall and six other classrooms will be used for presentations and workshops, whereas the second floor gallery will provide the exibition area for our partners and sponsors. The staff lounge on the ground floor will double as a quiet room for presenters, and the faculty’s internet club will be open during the event so all the guests can use the computers there.
ELTA couldn’t organize the event without the assistance of many students of the faculty who will be volunteers at the conference together with students from the English Department of the Faculty of Philology.
