Teaching with Neurodiversity in Mind

Teaching with Neurodiversity in Mind

A new school year brings new classes, new plans and plenty of familiar questions. TESOL MTH/NG is starting the year with one particularly important one: how can teaching respond more effectively to the different ways learners think, process and learn?

On Sunday, 27 September 2026 at 17:00 Greek time, TESOL MTH/NG invites teachers to its online Welcome Back Day Conference, dedicated to Effective Language Teaching in Neurodiverse Environments.

The programme brings together three sessions exploring neurodiversity from complementary perspectives:

🧠 Dr Anne Margaret Smith
What Autistic Learners Would Like You to Know

💡 Ms Tyna Constantopoulou
Understanding the Brain. Supporting the Learner

📚 Ms Vivian Constanta
Tailoring Instruction for Neurodiversity: Teaching Students the Way They Learn

Together, the sessions will look beyond labels and focus on something teachers encounter every day: learners do not all process information, communicate or participate in quite the same way.

💻 The event will take place on Zoom
