The OlympiadUSA academic calendar for 2026 2027 is officially out, giving students, parents, schools, and coordinators plenty of time to plan ahead and choose the competition dates that fit them best.
The programme is open to students from Grades 3 to 12 and includes online competitions in English.
The first preliminary online round takes place on:
📅 19 September 2026
And that is only the beginning.
Further preliminary rounds are scheduled for:
📅 17 October 2026
📅 14 November 2026
📅 12 December 2026
📅 16 January 2027
📅 6 February 2027
📅 3 April 2027
📅 8 May 2027
📅 5 June 2027
Students do not need to start with the first round or participate in every one. They can choose the round that works best for them, which makes the whole experience considerably easier to fit around school tests, holidays, and the occasional week when everyone suddenly seems to have three exams.
Strong performers who meet the qualification requirements may also progress to the international Global Rounds in the United States.
Miami, Florida
17 to 22 March 2027
Houston, Texas
1 to 6 July 2027
Students can register directly through the OlympiadUSA website, where they can also find practice materials and previous exam resources.
Parents can register their children directly and review information on fees, grade eligibility, and competition formats online. The participation fee is approximately 25 USD per round and is paid directly to the organiser.
School leaders who are new to OlympiadUSA can also contact the organisers for support in understanding the calendar, competition format, and participation process.
Registration and full information.
For students who enjoy a challenge, this is a chance to test what they know, build confidence, and see how their English performs on an international stage.
Sometimes one round is all it takes to discover that they are ready for a much bigger one.
