Thanks to the generous support of the U.S. Embassy and RELO Belgrade, 20 grants are available to support English language teachers from less-resourced communities in Serbia and other RELO countries to attend the 2026 Yals Annual Conference.
The conference will take place at the Palace Hotel in Belgrade on Saturday, 10 October 2026, bringing together language educators for a day of practical ideas, professional exchange, and the kind of conversations that often continue long after the final session ends.
Selected teachers will receive:
- Conference registration
- A return bus ticket
- One night of hotel accommodation with breakfast
- A welcome dinner on Friday, 9 October
Applicants must be English language teachers living outside Belgrade and working in state schools.
Applications close on 29 September 2026.
All applicants will be informed of the outcome by email no later than 5 October 2026.
Selected grant recipients will also be asked to submit a short conference report by 20 October 2026, giving them a chance to reflect on what they learned and share the experience with the wider professional community.
