You may just find out on 10 October 2026, when the 21st Yals Annual Conference brings language teachers and academic managers from Serbia and the region together at the Palace Hotel in Belgrade.
This year’s theme, “Future in the Making: From Potential to Possibility”, invites you to look ahead and explore how good ideas can become meaningful changes in teaching, learning, and professional development.
Whether you teach English or another foreign language, work in the public or private sector, or support teachers as an academic manager, the conference offers a day focused on practical learning and genuine professional exchange.
🎤 The programme includes six hands-on workshops led by distinguished ELT speakers, giving you practical ideas and approaches that can travel straight from the conference room into your own teaching context.
🌍 You will also hear three short presentations on international projects offering opportunities for both teachers and students to become involved beyond their own classrooms.
And because some of the best conference conversations rarely wait for the official networking slot, the programme includes two coffee breaks and lunch at the Palace Hotel restaurant, with plenty of time to meet colleagues from Serbia and abroad.
The conference is supported by their long-term partners, Eaquals, RELO, and the US Embassy in Belgrade. Their support has also made a number of grants available for Serbian state school teachers.
