Provisional Conference Programme

We are delighted to welcome you to the 24th ELTA Serbia International Conference in Belgrade on 15 and 16 May 2026. With this year’s theme, “No Borders, Just Bridges: The Global Reach of English Teaching”, we celebrate connection, collaboration, and the many ways English teaching helps people learn from one another across classrooms, cultures, and communities. It is a theme we value deeply, because good teaching has always had a remarkable talent for building bridges where they matter most.

This programme offers not only the agenda, speakers, and abstracts, but also a practical guide to reaching the conference venue and a clear overview of the session formats used throughout the event. Each speaker page includes a short profile, session format, area, biography, and abstract, making it easier to compare sessions and choose those that best match individual interests. We hope it helps everyone navigate the conference with ease, curiosity, and perhaps just the right amount of strategic planning.

Over two inspiring days, we will host five plenary sessions and more than 50 workshops, presentations, and talks, as well as valuable opportunities for professional exchange and networking with colleagues from 21 countries. In other words, there will be no shortage of ideas, insights, or conversations worth having, and perhaps not quite enough notebook pages for all of them.

We are proud to bring together teachers, trainers, researchers, publishers, and partner associations in a shared space devoted to professional growth, practical ideas, and genuine exchange. For us, the conference is also about the conversations between sessions, the partnerships that begin over coffee, and the reminder that our profession is strongest when people learn with and from one another.

We also thank our sponsors and partners for their support, trust, and collaboration, which make this event possible. Their contribution plays an important part in the success of the conference, and we are truly grateful for it.

We hope these two days in Belgrade bring fresh perspectives, practical inspiration, and valuable new professional connections. Thank you for being part of the energy of this year’s conference and for helping turn bridges into real classroom and community connections.
