ELTA, with the generous support of the British Council, is pleased to announce the launch of a new project, EFL Mastery Matters: Shaping Experts with TeachingEnglish.
This initiative represents a strategic continuation of ELTA’s highly successful 2024/25 program, Teach English with BC’s TeachingEnglish. Building on this strong foundation, we are excited to extend our reach by organizing and delivering a series of face-to-face workshops in 10 major cities across Serbia, led by our experienced ELTA Trainers.
The central aim of this new project is to further strengthen the professional identity and instructional expertise of EFL teachers in Serbia. By creatively and confidently engaging with the British Council’s TeachingEnglish resources, participants will acquire the skills to transform high-quality materials into innovative classroom practices. In doing so, we aspire to cultivate a new generation of EFL teacher-experts – professionals who embrace modern teaching trends, advance their pedagogical practice, and thrive in a collaborative professional environment. Ultimately, the project seeks to elevate the overall quality of English language teaching across Serbia, while expanding a vibrant, well-connected network of forward-thinking educators.
These workshops present an excellent opportunity for all EFL teachers in Serbia to take part in a professional development program accredited by the Institute for the Improvement of Education. In the coming weeks, we will announce the participating cities and open the call for applications. Additionally, we have prepared special awards for active participants who demonstrate outstanding engagement throughout the program.
