ELTA congratulates the graduating class of the English Access Scholarship Program in Belgrade and Požarevac.
The closing ceremony took place on Thursday, 4 September 2025, at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in Belgrade. At the ceremony, Alexander Titulo, Chargé d’Affaires, presented certificates to graduates who successfully completed the two-year Access program. At the same time, Regional English Language Officer Ms. Frances Westbrook congratulated Access students and their parents on their hard work and dedication.
The event was attended by Ivana Milošević, Access Serbia Program Coordinator, professor of English, and President of the English Language Teachers’ Association of Serbia – ELTA, as well as Madelyn Mahon, Cultural Attaché, and Dragana Obradovic, English Language Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy Belgrade.
ELTA expresses sincere appreciation to the American Corner in Belgrade and the “Ilija M. Petrović” Public Library in Požarevac for their invaluable support over the past two years.
The Access program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by the U.S. Embassy in Serbia and ELTA Serbia. It provides 13–15-year-olds with two years of English language instruction. Through after-school courses, intensive summer sessions, and cultural activities, Access students build English proficiency, deepen their knowledge of American culture, and grow the values of cultural exchange and civic engagement.
ELTA takes pride in supporting these students and looks forward to their future successes.
