TeachingTolerance Through English in Barcelona

Brankica Radojičić from Gymnasium Kreativno Pero in Belgrade enjoyed participating in the TESOL Spain 3rd Mediterranean Symposium and 1st European Conference on October 4-5, 2024. She presented a workshop titled “Teaching Tolerance Through the English Language” in this vibrant academic setting. The conference was officially opened on October 4, with warm welcomes from the TESOL Spain organizing committee: Rebeca Place, Annie Altamirano, and Gerard McLoughlin. Sinem Atamsoy Kosar from TESOL Turkiye shared insights on mindsets in teaching, setting an inspiring tone for the event.

Brankica’s workshop explored how English language teaching can be a powerful tool for promoting tolerance, understanding, and open-mindedness in students. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with European colleagues and exchange ideas on fostering empathy and respect through language education.
