14th ELTA Serbia Conference

Learning, relationships, and education are a painstaking endeavor, much like nurturing a garden. It takes time and effort to grow.

What best teachers do is, they teach people, not programs. They provide conditions for their students to grow. They pay attention to each and every student. They listen. They never stop learning. They adopt and adapt. They make a difference.

Are you one of those teachers?

What is obvious to you, might be amazing to others – share your knowledge and experience with us at 14th ELTA Conference!

Abstract submission deadline: 8 March 2016

Curiosity is one of those things that make our life enjoyable. Curious people are life-long learners who always try to find answers to different questions on their own.

We, teachers, are naturally curious people, and life-long learners above all. Therefore, we should support our students in their desire to know. We can arouse their curiosity by asking motivating and challenging questions that would encourage them to explore on their own and thus learn better.

Find out the ways to encourage curiosity in your class at the 15th ELTA Conference!

Provisional Conference Programme 2013

Dear ELTA members, dear colleagues and conference presenters and participants,

We are happy to announce that you may now download the provisional conference programme for our 11th annual ELTA conference to be held from 10th to 11th May in Belgrade.

This year we have over 40 presentations, lectures and workshops, and we hope the program will help you decide which ones you will attend.

Please note that early bird registration ends on 12th April.

For its 11th annual conference, ELTA has chosen a venue in which teachers have been studying for decades.

Faculty of Education, which is a part of the University of Belgrade, will welcome English teachers for the two days in May and we know it will be suitable and comfortable, with all the needs of teachers catered for.

The Main Hall and six other classrooms will be used for presentations and workshops, whereas the second floor gallery will provide the exhibition area for our partners and sponsors.

The staff lounge on the ground floor will double as a quiet room for presenters, and the faculty’s internet club will be open during the event so all the guests can use the computers there.

ELTA couldn’t organize the event without the assistance of many students of the faculty who will be volunteers at the conference.

We hope to see you there!

ELTA Statute Proposal

The Statute is ELTA’s most important legal document. It defines the oragnisation, its guidelines, mission and ways of conduct.

On 19th May 2012, ELTA members will vote on the organization’s new Statute, which has been updated and modernised, with several new articles.

Now you can download the Statute Proposal (Serbian Cyrilic only). Please read it carefully and share your opinion. Help make ELTA a better organization.
