Shakespeare Quotes

quotes
In 2016 ELTA is marking the 400-year legacy of Shakespeare’s work. Every week from January until July we‘ll be posting on our Facebook page some of the great playwright’s most inspiring lines. Some are well known. Others have been included because they are like tiny gems concealed in the folds of plays charged with simple beauty, accuracy and honesty. Join in the celebrations by writing your favourite Bard’s lines in the comments below the posts.

One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world.

If there ever was a pen that changed the world that would be the pen of William Shakespeare.

Have you ever used a Shakespeare’s quote, a line from a sonnet, a play or a fragment of a play to teach English? If yes, come and join us in the year of celebrating 400 years of bard’s death and share your lesson plan at our 14th annual conference.

This year’s poster session is a 45 minute presentation where teachers demonstrate a lesson plan or a classroom activity on the topic of William Shakespeare. It is presented on the poster and half of the time is devoted to questions and answers. The posters will be displayed in the venue hall and the presenters are expected to share ideas with participants.

HOW TO APPLY?

Click here for the poster session proposal form, which outlines speaking guidelines and requests detailed speaker information. If you have additional questions, contact ELTA’s office at elta.kancelarija@gmail.com.

14th ELTA Serbia Conference

Learning, relationships, and education are a painstaking endeavor, much like nurturing a garden. It takes time and effort to grow.

What best teachers do is, they teach people, not programs. They provide conditions for their students to grow. They pay attention to each and every student. They listen. They never stop learning. They adopt and adapt. They make a difference.

Are you one of those teachers?

What is obvious to you, might be amazing to others – share your knowledge and experience with us at 14th ELTA Conference!

Abstract submission deadline: 8 March 2016
Early bird registration deadline: 22 April 2016

ELTA Newsletter: November 2018

“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”
― John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America

Dear colleagues,

Sometimes time travels so fast it is hard to keep up. So, we are already in the beginning of winter and fast forward to the end of 2018. Since our last issue, the Autumn one, all of us have been already incredibly busy but some of you have been even busier writing for us. We have already received an amazing number of articles and reports and more keep coming in. We are very happy that our call during our May conference and the AG meeting encouraged you to share your work with us.

This is really an issue full of interesting articles and reports! We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the ELTA family who have been reading us, encouraging us to continue, sending us your work or your students’ work. Without you we couldn’t have made it! Do not forget you can send us your submissions any time you want at newsletter.elta@gmail.com. Stay in touch!
